About Me

My passion for the broadcasting industry began with a crack of my arm during football practice my freshman year of high school. After I got tired of keeping the benches warm during  practice, I decided to help my friend Spencer Allen who was filming the practices for my coaches. Shortly after football season ended, my friend recommended that I speak with John Drake, the multimedia teacher, to see if I could help out next year. The next three years only felt like a few seconds.

My senior year of high school was mostly spent running around my hometown filming city council meetings, sporting events, live theater and more. That year, I scheduled a studio tour at the Connecticut School of Broadcasting  and instantly fell in love with the facility and the passion the faculty and students had for the industry. The director  said that the school didn’t take many students straight out of high school and after a stressful hour-long meeting, he told me I got accepted because of my experience in high school and my willingness to move six hours away from home to pursue a broadcasting career. By the end of my senior year I had gotten certified in two video editing programs and helped start the high school’s first live broadcasting program through the NFHS Network broadcasting sporting events and assemblies. Shortly after graduation I packed my bags and headed to Charlotte, North Carolina.

Shortly before graduation at CTSB in 2017 I accepted a job at WBTV in Charlotte where I first cut my teeth in the news industry working overnights covering all the crime in the Charlotte Metro and surrounding counties. After a year there I worked for WAFF 48 in Huntsville to fine tune my videography skills. WAFF 48 is where I met a kind and funny friend named Allen Stroud. He passed away from lung cancer in his 30s, he was a friend and a mentor who will never be forgotten. #StroudStrong

After a year working at WAFF 48 I decided to pursue higher education where I attended Wallace State in Hanceville getting my associates degree in general studies. After finishing that I began school at UAB where I attended UAB and got my BA in communications with a concentration in broadcasting. I graduated in May of 2025 with honors.
